Pres. Talabani, Joe Biden discuss bilateral ties after withdrawal

Iraqi president Jalal Talabani received on Wednesday US vice president Joe Biden and his accompanying delegation in his office in Baghdad.
During the meeting, president Talabani praised US role in supporting iraqi people in their struggle against dictatorship, shedding light on the US role in iraqi reconstruction process.
The two sides discussed the current political situation in iraq, finding ways to promote bilateral relations between the two countries.
Joe Biden said that the next stage after US troops withdrawal is an important stage for diplomacy and cooperation between iraq and the US in all aspects especially in economic, commerce, agriculture and education.
He expressed his country desire to promote bilateral relations between the two countries after US troops withdrawals at the end of the year, praising president Talabani role in iraqi political process.
US ambassador to iraq James Jeffry and Commanding General of US forces in Iraq Lloyd J. Austin attended the meeting.
