Dabbagh: the formation of a higher committee for scrutiny and payment of dues from the national private sector and foreign and international organizations
02-12-2011 | (Voice of Iraq) Said government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh that the Council of Ministers decided to approve the adoption of the recommendation of the Committee on Economic Affairs on the benefits of individuals and private companies of national and foreign and international organizations, taking into account the opinion of the Legal Department of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on the debt of the national private sector except for the membership of the Inspector General being illegal and authorized the Committee on Economic Affairs set up a Higher Committee to audit and pay the dues of the private sector, whether more than ten million dinars or less and the exchange of principal without interest implications.
Dabbagh said that the approval of the audit and pay the dues of the private sector in national and foreign and international organizations to come in order from the Iraqi government to apply regulations and international obligations, including obligations of the Paris Club International on the debt and to meet international obligations through the payment of debts owed by Iraq to give credibility in the economic relations between Iraq and the countries of the world as the international community back to the weight it deserves.
Dabbagh said that the Committee on Economic Affairs has recommended to subject foreign private-sector debt to the Paris Club agreement in harmony with the orientations of the Iraqi government not to differentiate between the creditors and the necessity of giving in to one rule apply to everyone.
Dabbagh said that the claims are found to be incorrect will be announced and referred to the judiciary, where will the High Commission for the liquidation of dues of the Iraqi private sector to establish a mechanism for scientific exchange and determine the conditions necessary to ensure the validity of the debt and follow-up of the launch of exchange and any other cases.
