Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee Jamal Koujir affirmed on Thursday that his committee has proposed "four foundations" to the government to overcome the damage caused by fluctuating oil prices globally and to strengthen the internal economy.
"The Finance Committee has presented four main foundations to overcome the problem of declining oil prices globally," Cougar said in a press interview.
Noting that "the first basis is to redraw the state's economic policy, and this point is its content by restructuring the state budget and restructuring the ministries (planning - trade - industry - finance) and redrawing the state's economic goals."
Cougar added, "Iraq has many doors for resources, and 44 major suppliers have been diagnosed, some of which are subsist on by an entire country, such as tourism, oil, and border ports.
He pointed out that "the third basis is through the government's coordination with the parliament to close waste ports in the budget and state spending, and the fourth basis is the need to build the state on several resources and provide an attractive environment for capital and investors from abroad."
