Information / Special ...
The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed, on Sunday, the government's intention to continue borrowing for six months and not until the end of the current year, indicating that its actual need for the remainder of this year does not exceed 11 trillion dinars.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, told "the information" that "the government indicated in its request for the loan to secure the salaries of employees for the end of 2020, but the reality of the required amounts is different."
He added that "the government's need to secure salaries for the end of the year does not exceed 11 trillion dinars," noting that
"the amounts requested by the government so far after the negotiations are 40 trillion dinars."
Cougar explained that "after investigation by the Finance Committee and the reason for the government's insistence on these huge sums, it became clear that it would like to continue borrowing for six months, which means for another two months of 2021."
He stated that "the committee is looking for the secret of the continuation of the loan until 2021 and to find out the real reasons behind it."
The Parliamentary Finance Committee called, yesterday, Saturday, to release the salaries of employees this week, indicating that the deficit in the salaries of employees does not exceed 20%.
