The United States expressed concerns about the vulnerability of its embassy in Baghdad to an armed attack, after the withdrawal of its troops end of this month, saying it would respond strongly to any attack Taatar a U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The spokesman said U.S. military spokesman in Iraq, Major General Jeffrey Buchanan in a press statement: "We have real concerns for the security of Sagaratna after the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq," noting that "some of the militias carried out in the earlier acts against armed American soldiers and against the embassy."
"The embassy suffered any attack would be considered an affront to Iraqi sovereignty and hurt the interests of diplomacy, but we are confident in the ability of Iraqi security forces to confront any attack, and embassy guards will react strongly against any attack."
The U.S. forces in the stage of the evacuation of its forces in the security agreement between Baghdad and Washington under which will end the U.S. military presence the end of this month.
The Buchanan had said last Thursday in the American Embassy in Baghdad, the number of U.S. troops currently stationed in Iraq amounts to 34 thousand fighters and 12 military base out of 505 quoted 493 base to the Iraqi side, stressing that he is not there any new agreement with the Iraqi side with respect to trainers.
And between General Jeffrey that American soldiers would withdraw from Iraq through Kuwait, noting that more than one million military vehicles were returned from Iraq, but the remaining 650 000 piece of military will be returned before the end of the year, adding that five to three thousand trucks a week carrying equipment, and keep some of them will move ownership to the Iraqi side or the U.S. State Department and some of that equipment transported through Jordan, noting that the security situation in Iraq remains complex and there is concern that organized crime Kalkhtaf despite the lack of rates, but their causes, especially the material increased as well as al-Qaeda remains a source of danger, despite the efforts made by the Iraqi security forces.
