Al-Awdat said in an interview with “Al-Sabah”: “The visit of the Jordanian parliamentary delegation to Baghdad came as an embodiment of the series of tripartite summits that brought together King Abdullah II, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in an exceptional and great effort to achieve economic integration between the three countries.

And achieving a large level of strategic projects that benefit the three countries, as our visit comes after the {Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership}, stressing that

"this conference demonstrated the status of Iraq and how it began to restore its natural position in its regional environment."

He stressed that "communication with the Iraqi parliament will not be interrupted,

And he indicated that "the roles of parliament in both countries are supervisory and legislative, and signing agreements is confined to governments,

so our task is to look into the projects of those agreements and overcome all obstacles in order to achieve them, especially in the economic and investment files, and governments monitor and follow up on those projects."

He continued, "We have previous major agreements and we are looking forward to more agreements, and

the Iraqi side recently announced the start of a project to transport oil between Basra and Aqaba, which will benefit the countries of the region,

so we hope that all these agreements will contribute to more cooperation and integration between the two countries."

Al-Awdat praised the hospitality he touched, saying: “We have seen that Iraq is starting to recover and is walking on the line of restoring its role, and

we have seen from all currents that there is a serious intention from all components to turn the page of the past and the difference that dominated Iraq, and
