A member of the Victory Coalition, Aqeel Al-Redini, confirmed, on Wednesday, that the Silk Road project is the best alternative to oil in the future.
Al-Rudaini said, in a statement to the "Information" agency, that "Iraq is the shortest road linking the east to the west, and the
passage of the Silk Road through it will provide Iraq with new financial resources that will suffice it from oil and the danger of running out of it and dispensing with it."
He added that "the Silk Road provides great financial resources to Iraq, job opportunities per thousand, and the elimination of unemployment significantly."
And he indicated that "the Hariri project is the beginning of a new strategic plan to build a strong Iraqi economy that does not depend primarily on oil, but on other resources to protect it from the danger of running out of oil and not needing it in the future."
A member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ali Hussein Al-Fatlawi, revealed, earlier, the existence of US-Gulf plans trying to obstruct Iraq's link to the Silk Road Economic Project.
