A member of the Victory Coalition, Aqeel Al-Rudaini, revealed today, Wednesday, that Arab countries stood without implementing the Silk Road in Iraq because it would harm their interests.
Al-Rudaini said in a statement to the “Al-Ma’louma” Agency,
“Due to American dictates and the reluctance of some Arab countries, work on the Chinese Silk Road in Iraq was stopped because it would make China dominant over the world’s economy,” noting that
“the Silk Road would have brought unparalleled economic feasibility to Iraq, which would have It is being offered today from government projects.” He continued,
"The path of development that the current government is working on is very different from the Silk Road, which America prevented from implementing in Iraq," pointing out that
"America is looking out for its interests and does not want countries to develop economically at its expense in any way."
