Baghdad / NINA / - An expert in economic affairs, Raad Twij, stressed the need to link Iraqi labor markets with international and regional labor markets, calling on the government to develop policies to help Iraqis, especially young people, enter international and regional markets.
Twig said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / that "labor markets in Iraq are isolated from international and regional labor markets.
This is noted through the decrease in remittances entering Iraq, amounting to half a billion dollars in 2011, while Egypt amounted to 31.5 billion dollars,
what It indicates Iraq's loss of such a resource, despite the presence of a human capacity in Iraq estimated at 40 million people, and a surplus in the Iraqi manpower."
Twij called on the government to set policies to help Iraqis, especially young people, enter international and regional markets to maximize financial transfers directed to Iraq and bring expertise and business instead of relying exclusively on the rentier economy. / End 8
