Confirmed the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) that Iraq and Kuwait have made little progress on normalization of relations between them. The head of the United Nations Mission Kubler-Mart in the report submitted to the UN Security Council that the two countries expressed their willingness to resolve outstanding problems, hoping that contribute to the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's visit to Kuwait to resume work of the joint between the two countries. "
According to Kubler that "there is a need for more efforts to promote confidence between the two countries and facilitate solutions to address the outstanding issues between them," adding that the two countries forever their quest to improve bilateral relations, particularly through mutual visits at the level of officials from the first row earlier this year , as well as the formation of the Higher Ministerial Committee Iraq and Kuwait.
