Al-Halbousi: The exchange rate will return to normal

Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi confirmed, today, Saturday, that the exchange rate will return to its normal state.
Al-Halbousi said in a tweet, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA):
"It is not the first time that exchange rates have witnessed changes that accompany legal and regulatory measures of the Central Bank that are consistent with international requirements and monetary policies aimed at regulating the movement of foreign exchange and preventing smuggling of hard currency.". Al-Halbousi added,
"There is no anxiety or fear, according to the positive indicators of the Iraqi economy, and in light of the growing cash reserves and the level of revenues achieved, which is the highest compared to previous years.". The President continued,
"The exchange rate will return to its normal position in conjunction with the tight procedures of the Central Bank and the supportive government efforts to control trading, prevent manipulation and smuggling, and maintain its stability."
