Iraq is the fifth largest Arab country in gas reserves

“Oil & Gas” magazine reported that Iraq ranked fifth in the list of Arab countries that possess the largest natural gas reserves in 2023, while the State of Qatar was in the lead.
The magazine prepared an annual report on the 10 Arab countries that possess the most gas reserves last year. According to the report,
Qatar ranked first among these countries with more than 842 trillion cubic feet, while
Saudi Arabia came with more than 335 trillion cubic feet, while
third place went to the UAE with more than 289 trillion cubic feet.
Algeria came fourth with reserves at 159 trillion cubic feet, and
Iraq came fifth on the list with more than 131 trillion cubic feet over the past year.
The State of Kuwait ranked sixth with 63 trillion cubic feet, followed by
Egypt with about 63 trillion cubic feet of natural gas reserves.
Libya came in eighth place with more than 53 trillion cubic feet, and the
Sultanate of Oman came in ninth place with reserves exceeding 22 trillion cubic feet.
Yemen was at the bottom of the ranking of the ten largest countries with gas reserves with more than 16 trillion cubic feet, according to the magazine’s report.
