U.S. cooperation delegation looking Peshmerga and the Iraqi army in the disputed areas

announced by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Peshmerga, the Kurdistan Region, on the visit of a delegation from the U.S. Consulate in Erbil and the commander of U.S. forces in Baghdad, the ministry to discuss the cooperation of the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army in the disputed areas between Arbil and Baghdad, according to a statement by the Office of the Secretary-General of the Ministry. The statement,
That "a delegation from the U.S. Consulate in Erbil and the commander of U.S. forces in Baghdad, met with the Minister of Peshmerga territorial Government Jafar Mustafa to discuss the current situation in Iraq and the region and the cooperation of the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army in the disputed areas between Arbil and Baghdad in the light of a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq." The statement added that "the meeting also discussed the tasks of the higher commissions for cooperation between Arbil and Baghdad, which includes the Ministerial Committee and the joint cooperation committees in each of the provinces of Diyala and Nineveh, Kirkuk and the joint forces between Erbil and Baghdad in those provinces." Article 140 of the constitution the Federal Permanent resolve the issue of the disputed areas between Baghdad and Erbil, which suffered a demographic change at the hands of the former Iraqi regime and be in three stages: normalization, and then conduct a census, followed by a referendum among the population on the fate of those areas, and include those areas of Kirkuk and parts of Nineveh and Diyala, Salah al-Din.
