Talabani congratulates Marzouqi and assures him of the importance of strengthening relations, Iraq - Tunisia

Sent by President Jalal Talabani sent a cable of congratulation to the new president of Tunisia Moncef Marzouki, who was elected by the Constituent Assembly of Tunisia on Tuesday evening. The President of the Republic in the cable received «morning» a copy of it: «I am pleased to extend to you my warmest congratulations and congratulations on your election as President of the Republic of Tunisia sister and gain the confidence of the majority of members of the Constituent Assembly through the democratic vote». He Talabani: «I wish you success and permanent your new duties. And the Republic of Tunisia sister prosperity and progress to enjoy the Tunisian people well-being and exercise their democratic rights he championed ». He added by saying:« We hope and trust in the bilateral relations between our two countries, Iraq and Tunisia, in the New Testament closer relations and cooperation in the best interests of our two brotherly countries and for the welfare and progress the region ».
