BREAKING NEWS..Iraqi flag hoisted over Echo base in Diwaniya [Print] [Save]

Diwaniya (NINA) – Ceremonies of raising the Iraqi flag were carried out in Echo base, 3 km southern Diwaniya, in preparation to be handed over to the 8th Iraqi army division.
The American flag was lowered in the presence of a military delegation from the Ministry of Defense, Mid Euphrates Operations Command, Othman Al Ghanimi, and Commander of the 8th Iraqi army division.
Security official told NINA that the US forces still stationed in the base and are due to start withdraw from it by the 20th of this month, providing that it should not take more than 3 days to fully withdraw. /End/
