Janabi calls for speeding up holding a national dialogue conference to bypass differences

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of Republican Iraqi Gathering, Sa’ad Asim al-Janabi, called on political blocs to speed up holding a national dialogue conference to overcome differences and put national interest above other interests; as well as avoid escalation through the media.
In a statement to the press on Monday, Dec. 19, Janabi demanded political blocs to, “Restrain themselves and sit around a dialogue table to prevent Iraq’s enemies from taking it back toward sectarian fight.”
Janabi stressed, “The necessity to put a stop to obstacles hindering the political process, and to push toward consolidating the domestic front and democracy.”
He called on political forces and their leaders to take lesson from events in the Arab world that aim to establish democracy. / End.
