Held Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, today held a press conference on the arrest warrant against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, as well as his request to withdraw confidence from the Vice President Saleh al-Mutlaq.
A source told all of Iraq [where] the day that "al-Maliki held a press conference this morning in the building of the Council of Ministers and will reflect the opinion on the recent developments as well as the call to convene a national dialogue with all political parties."
The political crisis in the country worsened dramatically after the release of Supreme Judicial Council, an arrest warrant for Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on his involvement in armed activities against civilians and government officials and elements of security, as well as charges of being involved in a car bombing on the visitors of Imam Hussein peace be upon him last year.
