called on Vice President Joe Biden yesterday with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to pursue dialogue to resolve the political crisis gripping the country, stressing the need to hold a meeting between Maliki and leaders of political forces.
and Joe Biden said in a statement released by the White House on the sidelines of a telephone conversation with Maliki that «the urgent need for a meeting between Prime Minister and leaders of other parties». Biden called on Maliki to «pursue dialogue to resolve the political crisis gripping the country, days after the departure of U.S. forces».
's Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki called on leaders of political blocs to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the current political crisis and the imbalance of security, stressing that the Constitution will be the reference to resolve all issues outstanding issues.
