ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: Public Relations responsible at Kurdish Change Movement said today that consultations are continuing with the opposition parties for the coming meeting with the governing parties in order to solve present problems in the region.

Mohammed Tawfeeq pointed out that the talks of President Jalal Talabani with head of his bloc did not tackle the internal questions of the region.

He added to Aswat al-Iraq that the aim of the talks is to create the suitable and political bases for the coming meeting.

Kurdish opposition and the two governing parties were in a crisis following the killing of demonstrators who demanded political reform in Sualimaniya, before it was increased to other areas, particularly Duhuk province at the beginning of this month, when some youths burnt alcohol beverages stores and two quarters of the Islamic Federation.

Refering to the talks of Talabani with Nousherwan Mustapha, he added "both sides concentrated on the situation in the country and the measures to be taken in the coming stage, which is characterized with dangerous accusations among Iraqi politicians, that coincided with the departure of US troops".

"But they did not discuss the internal situation of the Kurdish region", he added.

Earlier, Kurdish region president Masoud Barzani welcomed the phone call between Talabani and Mustapha to contribute in nearing viewpoints between Kurdish parties.
