• «Baker Hughes» U.S. wins contract to invest 60 oil wells

Said Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement yesterday, they agreed to recommend to the Commission for Energy referred tender to drill 60 wells in the oil field of Al Zubayr, the company «Baker Hughes» U.S. within three years at a cost of $ 640 million.
He explained that the Parliamentary Committee on Oil requested the tender offer to the Parliament prior to their implementation. He added: «the Commission referred the request for Energy and Oil Ministry to approve the tender numbered [35/2010/AC/ZU] on the subject of drilling 60 wells in the Zubair field to the Cabinet for approval, and announced the project in direct advocacy and six companies responded out of ten. And distinguish three companies offer matching and acceptance, a «Schlumberger» and «Baker Hughes» and «Halliburton» were called in to bid business ».
Recommendation
He continued: «Committee recommended to the joint management in the first instance refer the tender total amount of $ 813 million distributed between Baker Hughes $ 600 million and Halliburton of $ 213 million, and offered to tender for the contracts the central Ministry of Oil on the Department of reservoirs and field development for over a matching price and have found that the cost of the tender at the Department of $ 601 million ».
