BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Al-Iraqiya Bloc, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, has charged Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki with covering up several administrative and security dossiers, including the death of Iraqi Journalist Hadi al-Mahdi, the Bloc's spokesman, Haider al-Mulla, remarked on Tuesday.
"It would have been better for Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to make the security dossiers and the results of previous investigations public," Mulla told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"These include the dossiers of the death of journalist Hadi al-Mahdi and other journalists, along with the abduction of professors and explosions that took place in several ministries, and the smuggling of prisoners in Diwaniya and Basra Provinces," Mulla stressed.
"Finally, the Thursday explosion in Baghdad and other crimes have been covered up," Mulla said.
Noteworthy is that Journalist Hadi al-Mahdi was assassinated at the beginning of September last in his house in the central Baghdad district of Karrada by unknown gunmen, using pistols with silencers attached.
