Talabani confirms to Kobler the supremacy of law

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: President Jalal Talabani stressed the supremacy of law during his meeting with UN secretary general representative in Iraq Martin Kobler.
In a statement, issued today, President Talabani received in Sulaimaniya Mr.
Kobler, during which both sides discussed the latest events in the Iraqi political scene and their effects on the future of the country.
Talabani confirmed that "all problems should be solved through dialogue and trust among political blocs in order the conference to be a success".
On the role of the United Nations, Talabani pointed out that "it could help Iraqis through extending support and advice to Iraqi constitutional and democratic organs".
Mr.
Kobler pointed out the role played by the UN to help Iraqis to surpass this historical stage and solve pending questions.
