FLOUR: U.S. on Iraq investment in electricity and water for growth

Said U.S. engineering firm Fluor said on Monday that Iraq must invest more in infrastructure for electricity and water to achieve sustainable growth, otherwise the oil and gas sector will face difficulties.
Said Peter Austrver head of the energy and chemicals in the Flour "Everyone is talking about oil and gas, but electricity and water are of great importance in the development of Iraq, which lack the development."
He said the top of the Reuters Global Energy and Climate "If all the projects started (in the oil and gas) there will be certainly a lack of power and water supplies in Iraq."
Austrver also said that it is likely to occur similar problems in other countries facing a shortage of water reserves.
But he said he was optimistic the economic prospects for Iraq.
He said, "Some even expected to surpass China in terms of Iraq's growth in the years to come." He added that even if Iraq did not achieve the economic growth in the double digits, it is optimistic in general.
