Iyad Allawi: We support Hashemi trial before an independent judiciary

Erbil, January 8 (Rn) - The head of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi said the list supports the trial of Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi to an independent judiciary, pointing out that we should accept each other in order to overcome the current crisis in Iraq.
The leaders of the bloc-Hashimi of Iraq, a group of secular character and reluctantly joined the unity government led by al-Maliki.
Iraq has boycotted the meetings of deputies and ministers in recent times, complaining they are being marginalized, although it the largest single bloc in the Council.
And intensified the political struggle between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his rivals in the fragile agreement to share power in conjunction with the withdrawal of the last U.S. troops from Iraq.
Said Iyad Allawi, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) "If all the intentions of good has not been the marginalization of any party and everyone's cooperation among themselves for the future, we can solve the problems, so we have to accept each other, in order to overcome the current crisis in the country."
Allawi pointed out that "yesterday's meeting, the President of the Republic and President of Kurdistan, was good and positive," noting that "our meetings is not over yet, as we will hold further meetings."
The coalition, the Iraqi delegation headed by Ayad Allawi, had arrived on Saturday to Sulaymaniyah, where he met with President Jalal Talabani, met last night in Erbil with the President of Kurdistan region Masoud Barzani.
On the issue of trial of Tariq al-Hashimi, Allawi said that "the problem of Hashemi issue of political, judicial, and should be solved either by means of political, judicial, and we insist on the trial of al-Hashemi in an independent tribunal, and without any political interference, but we prefer a political solution to the problem."
He continued by saying "If you had to be resolved judicially, should be the time that the court is the decision-making as is the case all over the world, and not charged to the person through the media, but charged according to the law," and expressed their willingness "to try al-Hashemi in the court independent ".
Hashemi, who was a student may Bmhakth in Kurdistan or Kirkuk or in Khanaqin, but the Iraqi judicial authorities refused his request.
