Tayfur meeting the Iranian ambassador
Erbil Jan. 10 (PNA) - Vice President of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Aref Tayfur Monday that the conference called for by the country's president, Jalal Talabani, will be held at the end of this month in an attempt to defuse the crisis could push the country into the midst of sectarian violence.
The country's worst political crisis in the wake of the Iraqi judiciary issued an arrest warrant for Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi, a few days after completion of a U.S. withdrawal.
Tayfur said during his meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad Hassan fled Danaia "will hold a national conference convened by the President of the Republic at the end of this month."
He Tayfur in a statement issued by his office to the media that "most parties agreed not to put the issue .. Hashimi on the agenda of the conference and leave the matter to the Iraqi judiciary."
He was President Jalal Talabani has recently called for a national conference aims to calm the atmosphere and resolve the political crisis in the country.
