Dhi Qar (AIN) -Security force arrested the terrorist group responsible for conducting Bat'ha blast that resulted in killing and wounding over 120 Shiite pilgrims heading on foot towards Karbala province to conduct the rituals of Arbaeen Pilgrimage ceremony.
Security source stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "A security force arrested the terrorist group that helped the Suicide bomber to reach the explosion site in Bat'ha district (40 km) to the west of Nassiriya, capital of Dhi Qar province.
The source added that "The police conducted an investigation with the group members," without giving further information about the nationality or number of its members.
Earlier, a suicide bomber, wearing an explosive belt, attacked a Shiite gathering that presents services to the Shiite Pilgrims in Bat'ha district.
The lieutenant Nazhan Saleh Hussein al-Jubouri and an Iraqi Army soldier caught the suicide bomber, but he detonated his explosives, killing more than 44 civilians and wounding more than 85 others, most of them were Shiite Pilgrims on their way to conduct the rituals of Arbaeen Pilgrimage ceremony
