Mr. Abbassi's career experience spans 17 years. Mr. Abbassi founded the Arab Advisors Group in 2001. As General Manager of Arab Advisors Group, Mr. Abbassi directs the research and consulting activities of the company in addition to steering its marketing operations. Mr. Abbassi is also a frequent guest speaker at conferences and seminars related to technology, communications and media in the Arab World. On September 14, 2005, the Arab Jordan Investment Bank (AJIB) and Arab Advisors Group concluded an agreement by which AJIB buys a 55% stake in Arab Advisors Group. Before his work in Boston, Mr. Abbassi worked as a corporate accounts manager for Jordan’s leading Internet service provider (NETS). With NETS, Mr. Abbassi led and coordinated the work needed to establish its first international leased line with Cyprus. Dr. Mohammad Alhammouri received his B.S.c degree in Computer Science from Yarmouk University, Jordan, in 2000. He received his M.S.c degree in 2003 and his Ph.D. degree in 2008 in Computer Science with major in Computer Security and Information Assurance from The George Washington University, USA.
Dr. Alhammouri serves as an assistant professor at the Computer Science Department at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) where he is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate security courses.
Prior to his current position, Dr. Alhammouri served as a head of Information Security Unit at Jordan’s eGovernment/Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MoICT), where was a key contributor to many national projects and initiatives related to Information Security, in addition to his key role in many important strategies, roadmaps, and legislations in Jordan such as, National InfoSec Strategy, eGov roadmap, eTransactions law, Cybercrime law, certificate authorities licensing and accreditation bylaw, and privacy law.
Dr. Alhammouri has an extensive industrial experience in the area of computer security collected from working at many international and national organizations such as the World Bank where he served as a Computer Security Specialist, where he was in charge of Public Key Infrastructure design and implementation. Before Joining the World Bank, Dr. Alhammouri was serving at SETECS Corp., USA, where he was working as a computer security researcher and developer.
Dr. Alhammouri is an author of many published papers and a speaker in many national and international conferences in the area of computer security. Dr. Alhammouri also has many technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA and GIAC (GCWN).
