Erbil Jan. 16 (PNA) - The president of the Iraqi government Iyad Allawi, on Sunday, in a press statement that Iraq is now in "the most dangerous phase in its history."
He said Allawi, who heads the bloc "Iraqi List" in the parliament by the intersection of the ruling coalition headed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki about a month, "We are currently facing serious problems and the situation is very tense," adding "I have returned the sectarian undercurrents strongly and I think that Iraq is currently going through the phase of the most dangerous in history."
He said Allawi, "The sectarian differences accompanied by a political process which does not include everyone, but can not destroy the future of the country."
And pass the Iraq political crisis following the issue of stifling an arrest warrant for Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on charges of involvement in terrorist acts, as the country undergoes a series of bombings that followed the withdrawal of U.S. forces late last year.
He criticized Allawi's speech, U.S. President Barack Obama when the latter was considered that the United States made Iraq a stable country, and democratic.
Allawi said that the country "is not stable and democratic and resumed beating strongly terrorists and al-Qaeda activist widely."
Allawi added that "the United States bear the political responsibility and moral in helping the country overcome this very difficult stage," calling on the administration of President Obama to "use diplomatic channels to restore sanity to the pluralism and political life."
The Iraqi List headed by Allawi, decided in mid-December last province of the coalition government emanating from the elections in March 2010, accusing Maliki following the authoritarian style of governance.
The William Burns, Assistant Secretary of State met with Maliki on Saturday and they were discussing the "political situation" in the country as the Iraqi government announced.
