BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq : Parliamentary Security and Defence Commission MP Hamid al-Mutlaq charged Premier Nouri al-Maliki the responsibility for security deterioration in his capacity as Commander in Chief of the armed forces and the first responsible authority for the security ministries.
MP Mutlaq, of Iraqiya bloc headed by Iyad Alawi, told Aswat al-Iraq that "Premier Maliki should open the door before other forces to participate in the government and the political process to counter the crises that stormed in the country".
He charged the responsibility on the inefficiency of the security forces, as well as foreign interventions and political struggle.
Mutlaq hoped that "we have a good opportunity for cooperation and national unity to have a governmental program where all participate to solve the security crisis.
Security situation deteriorated during the last few days in a number of Iraqi province, where tens were killed or injured.
