Iraq to Participate in Arab-Chinese Business Conference

Posted on 16 January 2012.

Iraq is planning its participation in the fifth round of the Arab-Chinese Business Conference, according to AKnews.
Iraq is expected to attend the one-day conference in Sharjah city with a high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Trade, Khairullah Hasan.

“Iraq is in the process of reconstructing the country. Therefore normalizing these economic relations is crucial,” Hasan told AKnews.

“We will try to normalize things with those countries with whom we have tensed relations and also further strengthen our relations with those countries with whom we already have good relations.”

The Arab-Chinese Conference is a major, high-level trade and diplomatic event that was officially started in September 2004. It is held every two years in rotation between China and an Arab country.
