BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Al-Ahrar bloc MP Jawad Shihaili denied that his bloc agreed to the call made by al-Iraqiya Bloc to form a majority government that will exclude the State of Law bloc.
He told Aswat al-Iraq that "this move is a constitutional violation that will lead to problems and disputes among political blocs".
Al-Iraqiya Bloc's MP Khalid al-Alwani announced today, Wednesday, that many meetings were held with the Kurdish Alliance, the Higher Islamic Council and Ahrar bloc to form a politically majority government to withdraw confidence from Maliki, if the national conference failed.
Shihaili added that his bloc "still supports the national partnership".
Iraq is witnessing great political crisis along the accusations made against Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi and the demotion attempt against deputy premier Saleh al-Mutlaq, who are both of Iraqiya bloc.
Added to all this, the security and political tensions, not solving the security ministerial posts, and the recent bloody explosions that hit Baghdad and a number of provinces, that led to hundreds of deaths and casualties.
