Chief of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi held on Wednesday 18/1/2012 talks with Iraqi Defense Minister Saadon al-Dulaymi, currently on a several days' official visit to Egypt.
Talks tackled boosting military cooperation, training Iraqi cadres and exchanging expertise in the military domain.
The two sides reviewed the changes in the Middle East and their effect on security and stability in the region as well as regional and international efforts to support Iraq.
Tantawi that the visit of Iraqi Defense Minister Sadoun al-Dulaimi and his accompanying delegation to Egypt aims at enhancing bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting Tantawi said that the benefits of cooperation between Egypt and Iraq would not be limited to them alone but would also be for the good of the entire Arab and Islamic world.
Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Lt. General Sami Annan and a number of the military council members took part in the meeting.
