BAGHDAD (Iba) .. Contrary to statements made by representatives of a number of political blocs, the last two days on the second preparatory meeting of the National Conference on Sunday, the postponement of a meeting to further notice, pending the return of President Jalal Talabani of his treatment in Germany.
The MP said the coalition of Kurdish blocs Hassan Jihad said the meeting which was scheduled for Sunday has been postponed to another date because the previous meeting did not specify the representatives of the political blocs in the Preparatory Committee of the Conference as well as travel, noting that President Talabani will return during the next few days.
In the meantime, the House expressed optimism about the convening of the National Congress, especially since all the political blocs want to find solutions to their problems and get out of the current crisis.
