Did not discuss the House of Representatives at its Monday, the General Amnesty Law controversial after it was scheduled to be read a second reading in preparation for passage during future meetings. The Vice-Chairman of the Legal parliamentary Prince Kanani said the fear of the presidency of the parliament of the disagreements and objections to the law prevented the display In Monday's session.
He Kanani in an interview with Radio Free Iraq that the Legal Committee has been able to resolve all contentious points raised in the law, especially with regard to rigging certificates and crimes of terrorism, stressing that the amnesty will not include the counterfeiters graduate degrees from the degree of assistant general manager and above, as will be the inclusion of counterfeiters others who are without such a degree with the change of grades legal, and would not include amnesty of any person who has committed a crime against the Iraqi citizens, as is amnesty for those who fought U.S. troops.
For its part, pointed a member of the Commission on Human Rights Rep. Ohoaq dry that the amnesty law as amended, is one of the important laws that take into account the principles of human rights, expected not to delay the adoption of the law long after the resolution of all contentious issues in it. The MP for the coalition of state law, Abbas al-Bayati said the council voted during the meeting on the eight important laws, including the law of Iraq's accession to the International Convention to Combat Doping in sport, and the law of accession of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, the Fund refunds Iraq and compensations, as well as continuing to discuss the budget in 2012.
Also saw the meeting to vote on a draft law regulating the provisions of the nomination for President of the Republic, and the provisions of a deputy or more to the President of the Republic, as emphasized in the Chairman of the Legal Council Khalid Shwani the adoption of this law will spare the Iraqi political forces in the future of any problems or disputes which may accompany the process of electing the president, as happened in the previous parliamentary sessions.
