Toyota plans to produce large quantities of rechargeable batteries

Toyota announced that leading Japanese company in the automotive industry that it plans to start producing lithium-ion batteries that can be recharged in large quantities, for use of hybrid and electric cars in Japan during the next two years in order to reduce the cost of the next generation of environmentally friendly cars. Quoted by the BBC and Japanese television (NHK) for the company that it would begin manufacturing this type of batteries in large quantities in conjunction with <Panasonic> Chezoúka in a factory district, central Japan, and the batteries will be produced for about 100 thousand cars per year.
The lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable and large capacity and are used in hybrid cars with electric socket and electric vehicles. Toyota says that the move will reduce production costs and will result in a lowering of prices of new cars environmentally friendly. The Toyota hybrid cars will be the same socket on the market later in January and the current electric cars by the end of the current year 2012.
