Iraq plans to buy fighter planes, Prague, Czech reveal military cooperation education

Agreed that the Iraqi government, on Wednesday, with the Czech Republic to buy fighter jets for Iraq in a move aimed at boosting the prospects of military cooperation between the two countries.
This came on the sidelines of a joint news conference with Defense Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi, the agency held in the Czech capital of Prague, according to details in a statement posted on the website of the Ministry of Defence, Czech Republic. The Czech Defense Minister Alexander Vondra at the press conference «We have set the foundations for future cooperation since the visit of Czech Prime Minister to Iraq last May and today we can expand the horizons of cooperation for the benefit of the two countries». The head of the Czech government had visited Iraq in May 2011, agreement was reached in time to open the field of cooperation between the two countries in several areas, including the military side. He «He told me the Iraqi defense minister said his country is still interested in buying aircraft from the Czech Republic», referring to the planes of the type SAP Sonic the 159, a fighter aircraft of the type of applicant.
