BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Foreign Ministry handed over stolen Iraqi antiquities that dated back to different historical eras.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, received by Aswat al-Iraq, Minister Hoshiar Zebari handed over a golden cup that dates back to the Sumerian era to Culture undersecretary and director of the museum.
In addition he handed them 39 antiquity pieces and tablets.
Zebari expressed the endeavors of the foreign ministry to regain all stolen Iraqi antiquities.
He handed over a letter of thanks to the German Charge d'Affairs for his government's efforts in regaining these antiquities.
