The Iraqi government decided to merge some of the loss-making state firms

Announced a legal adviser in the Iraqi government that the government decided to merge state-owned companies together and evaluate their work through training.
Fadel said Mohammed Jawad, in a press statement that "the Iraqi government decided to integrate a number of loss-making state companies, which are Balastqrad of Rafidain and good according to the law 22 of 1997."
He explained that "the decision comes because of the inability of those companies to pay back the money they receive from banks as a result of weak productivity."
Jawad added that "the Iraqi government is working to provide legal frameworks to support locally produced according to the plan typical of those companies are working on this plan is characterized by the need to promote local production."
And that "the government will focus on the integration of companies and the Ministry of Industry to start later to other companies in the transport and water resources, health and other government ministries."
He explained that "the Iraqi government can not solve the issue of loss-making state firms through privatization because of the number of employees, which rejects any foreign investor continued employment" ... p / i
