Baghdad (news) .. He first deputy governor of Baghdad, Dr. Muhammad Hamza al-Shammari said preparations have reached final stages in Baghdad to receive the Arab Summit to be held the end of next March.
Al-Shammari said in a statement received the Agency (news) a copy of it on Tuesday: The province of Baghdad, is one of the members of the committee that contributed effectively with the concerned authorities to complete the preparations for security and services and rehabilitation facilities that will host the delegations and presidential media Kalqsour and hotels, as well as contribute to the rehabilitation of Baghdad International Airport as well as the rehabilitation of halls, let alone for the creation and rehabilitation of Airport Road and around the international zone.
He added that Iraq is a pivotal country in the region and part of an active player in the Arab system and because of the circumstances which passed in the previous period affected the double role at this level, stressing that Iraq is today, after the achievement of security and political stability and exit of foreign troops, he was able to receive and post all activities of Arab, regional and international levels.
He said Shammari to: that the establishment of the summit on the land of Baghdad would be an important turning point at this stage in the relations between Iraq's Arab and a start of a mission to Iraq to perform its responsibilities and leadership role in the region and the world.
