Denied the National Alliance MP Qassem al-Araji, the existence of any consensus within the National Alliance to take over the former army Major General Tawfiq al-Iraqi interior minister.
Some of the members of the National Alliance, pointed to the existence of a consensus within the National Alliance to take over the position of Tawfiq al-Minister of the Interior.
Araji said today that "the National Alliance has three candidates for the post of interior minister are all from Riad Ghraib, Faleh and Tawfiq al-Fayad, is that there is no consensus within the National Alliance on any of them for personal Utla post of Minister of the Interior."
He added that the "naming Interior Minister and Minister of Defense of important topics and delicate, which is going great controversy because of the lack of agreement on which the political blocs to the candidates for those ministries."
He continued that "the reason for the lack of agreement on the political blocs specific people to take over the security ministries due to the lack of coherence and loss of confidence between the political blocs."
He emphasized that "the current indicators that the subject of naming the security ministries would be solved in the coming period and that these ministries will continue to run a proxy until the end of the current government."
And still the security ministries vacant, despite the passage of more than a year to form the current government because of disagreement over the names of candidates for these ministries and run those ministries currently acting as the running of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki as interior minister by proxy while running and Culture Minister Saadoun al-Dulaimi, the position of Secretary of Defense by proxy. / 4
