Maliki calls for Canadian companies to increase their presence in Iraq and translate the agreements into practice

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki today, Monday, Canadian companies to increase their presence in Iraq and a mechanism agreed between the two sides to achieve a common desire to develop relations and translate them into practical reality.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister said that his office was receiving al-Maliki today, the official Canadian Ambassador in Iraq Mark Kozdki.
He called on al-Maliki, according to the statement, to "find an agreed mechanism between the two sides to achieve a common desire to develop relations and translate them into practical reality."
He also called for Canadian companies to "increase its presence in Iraq, and take advantage of the expertise and competencies Iraqi resident in Canada to work in Iraq."
He said Maliki, "paid tribute to the Canadian positions in support of Iraq, particularly its embrace of the large Iraqi community in Canada."
The statement quoted the Canadian Ambassador to his country's desire to develop relations with Iraq, saying "Canada is looking at Iraq as a great and important country in the world, and is designed to establish relations of cooperation and joint coordination and consistent with, and Canada, friend of Iraq, and proud of hosting the Iraqi community."
The Mark Kozdki that "Canada is looking to re-open its embassy in Baghdad as soon as possible, and that companies and businessmen Canadians are willing to come in Iraq effectively."
Canadian Ambassador also stressed that his country "hopes for the forthcoming Arab summit success under the leadership of Iraq."
