BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi stressed today during his meeting with the Russian ambassador to Baghdad that "his country should have a positive and supportive role for the Arab people".
In a statement issued by the Parliament, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Nujaifi met ambassador Valerian Shovaiev on the termination of his post in Iraq.
Both sides discussed historical relations and means for developing them.
On the other side, the ambassador made a clarification for the Russian stand regarding Syria ant the UN Security Council.
