"There are many Iraqis who travel to Britain for study, training and trade; the United Kingdom should provide the highest facilities as an indication of its good intentions to develop bilateral relations, by granting special facilities, including entry visas into Britain from Iraq and not from any other country," Sheikh Humam Hammoudi said in a statement, as received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"British airline companies should open a direct transportation route between Baghdad and London," he added.

An Iraqi Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee delegation is currently on a visit to London, and have already met with British Minister for Parliamentary Affairs in the Middle East & North Africa, MP Alistair Burt at the Foreign Ministry's building.
