The Ministry of Commerce For Economic Committee in the House of Representatives on a mechanism to buy the ration card items that are distributed to a wide range of citizens, in order to establish transparency in the contracts.
The inspector general of the ministry Mohammed Hussein Al-Wazzan said that "the proportion of corruption in the ministry took the decline thanks to the control procedures of the Office of the Inspector General at the ministry, which focuses on conducting engagements in accordance with the assets and standards of integrity and legal."
He pointed out that "the Office of the Inspector General will issue a report later this month when talking about the most important activities for 2011 in the fight against financial and administrative corruption in the departments of the Ministry."
The Minister of Commerce has recently issued a circular to all Directors-General in the ministry, which prevent them from making statements to the media means. And demanded that the Economic Committee in the House of Representatives, formally, the Ministry of Commerce spokesman of employment for the purpose of facilitating access to business information.
