Exxon had signed agreements last year with the Kurdish region, prompting Baghdad to warn the company of U.S. action on the agreements that it considers the central government in violation of the law.
Shahristani said he was notified Exxon position of the Iraqi government and the company asked the U.S. deadline, adding that Baghdad is waiting for its response to the final decision of the government to tell them the final.
But he said that the company is currently not eligible to participate in the fourth round in response to a question about any decision on the Exxon agreements with Kurdistan.
