Baghdad (AIN) –MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate urged the security forces to increase their efforts to eliminate the armed robbery and kidnapping phenomenon which were increased in Kirkuk and the southern provinces.

In a statement on the website of the Iraqi Islamic Party on Tuesday, he stated “The return of this phenomenon is an indicator of the return of the armed groups to threat the citizens,” noting that “Such phenomenon can be eliminated by activating and developing the intelligence system for the security forces.”

“The political disputes have negatively affected the security situation,” he added, pointing out “The politicians have forgotten what the citizens suffer from the lack of services and have continued in their disputes,” he added.

Lately, Iraq witnesses the return of the kidnapping and armed robbery phenomenon by some criminal gangs in order to get some money. The last one of these has happened to the brother of MP, Nahida l-Dayni, of the Iraqiya Slate who was killed by those criminals. /End
