Delay of submitting final statements delays endorsing 2012 budget, says MP

Baghdad (AIN) –MP Ali Shubar of the Citizen Bloc within the Iraqi National Alliance justified “The delay of endorsing the 2012 budget law draft by the delay of submitting the final statements of 2011 by the government.”
MP Shubar called during a statement to All Iraq News Agency Tuesday “All the political blocs to set the citizens’ interests ahead of their partisan interests or political disputes.”
The Government has ratified on last December the budget of 2012 with a total of $ 100 billion and delivered it to the parliament for discussion and endorsement.
Due to political disputes among the blocs, the parliament has not endorsed the 2012 budget law draft yet, which resulted in delay in implementing many projects and anger of local governments. /End/
