U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Naidz that the budget for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad cut by ten percent, stressing at the same time, this will not mean that the embassy in Baghdad will remain one of the largest missions Aldlomaseh the U.S. in the world.
He Naidz in a statement to reporters in Baghdad on Wednesday that the expenditures for contracts will be reduced as well as the trend to reduce the size of the diplomats working at the embassy, but he stressed that this must not send the wrong message to others about Iraq, who said he will remain a country of strategic importance of the United States for many reasons.
The U.S. Ambassador James Jeffrey, he said told the Associated Press that the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad will remain the largest in the world as long as he survives.
