On Wednesday, Iraq National Accordance Front denied news about the deterioration of the health of its leader Ayad Allawi stressing that he is in a good health condition. The bloc added that this news is a violation for the media pacification that was agreed upon during the meeting of the blocs’ leaders.
National Accordance Front movement said in a statement issued today and a copy of which reached Alsumarianews that some of the biased parties spread rumors regarding the health of the bloc leader Ayad Allawi and stressed that the aim of these allegations is to foil the Iraqis and to undermine the stability of the country.
A number of media had quoted today special sources saying that the leader of Al Iraqiya List is attained by colon cancer and added that the “illness was diagnosed in a Saudi hospital during his visit to the KSA. The sources added that Queen’s hospital in London specialized in these kinds of illness affirmed that the leader of Al Iraqiya List entered to it days ago.
The movement said that such news violate the media truce that was agreed upon during the meeting of the political blocs that was held last Monday in the residence of the President Jalal Talabani and uttered hopes that such violations won’t take place again.
In the statement, the movement called parties promoting such lies to stop their misdirecting policies that aim at undermining the national project. Allawi is in a very good health and he is carrying out some medical tests for his left shoulder and right leg which were injured during an assassination attempt by the former regime and some terrorists at the end of the seventies.
Iraq National Accordance Front added that Ayad Allawi will come back to Iraq as soon as he ends his medical test and stressed that he didn’t do any medical tests out of Britain.
The office of President Jalal Talabani had said in a statement issued June 19th that the leader of Al Iraqia List called President Talabani from London and apologized from attending the expanded meeting of the political leaders. The statement added that Allawi absence is for health conditions out of control.
Al Iraqiya List Spokeswoman Maysoun Al Damlouji said in statements that the leader of Al Iraqiya List Ayad Allawi suffers from a simple health problem and added that he will undergo a surgery on Friday.
