Additional 3000 megawatts to be added next summer, spokesman
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Electricity spokesman announced today that 3000 megawatts shall be added to the national network next summer.
Mus'ab al-Mudaris told Aswat al-Iraq that the ministry is working on rehabilitating and maintaining a number of units to be used next summer.
Parliamentary Oil and Energy Commission member Suzan al-Saad described "this winter electricity supply as disappointing".
She called to expedite the implementation of electricity projects "otherwise we will have worse summer times".
Saad continued that "the Electricity Ministry used to blame the shortage for lack of fuel or terrorist actions"
